BORNEO UNIVERSITY OF TARAKAN
PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER PROGRAM
The main objective of the teaching practicum is to provide student teachers with authentic hands-on experience in teaching. This is required to develop their teaching skills and to start collecting experiences to enrich their professional wisdom. It is not enough to read about teaching or to observe others teach, something students have done for years. Student teachers have to practice themselves because practical knowledge and wisdom are held by the individual and cannot easily be transmitted from person to person. Student teachers need know-how, and by connecting the skills of teaching to knowledge, through reflection, they will gradually start developing practical wisdom.
The teacher becomes more trained in teaching, such as creating the best lesson plan, know the appropriate teaching methods used, has the skill of manage the class, and manage time. Teachers also studied about the characteristics of each class and each students, and becomes know how to conduct the lesson with their own characteristics. One more outcomes of this practicum is, teachers has developed the English skill to teach.
The challenges of teaching this time is how to explain the lessons using English, then how to control the class when the students are noisy, and how to manage such a short time to finished the lesson without rushing everything.
Teachers can understand exactly what kind of good teacher in front of students, understand how important teaching method, and the importance of managing class and time. The lesson plan that properly constructed will make the actual learning work more smoothly.
For the next improvement, the important things is to develop English skill for teaching, mastered the topics, can manage the class and time, and establish the teaching methods will be used in class so that the objectives of learning can be reached maximally.
For the first week I used the lesson plan I made and for the following week I used the PSU format lesson plan. I teach with 3 subjects, namely Mapeh, English and Science.
2 Procedures of Teaching

Management calasroom appopriate with the methode and runing condition. The it easy for teacher to manage all of students
Teaching plan or lesson plan is a detailed guide for teaching a lesson. It’s a stepby-step guide that outlines the teacher’s objectives for what the students will accomplish that day. Creating a lesson plan involves setting goals, developing activities, and determining the materials that will be used.
PSU Integrated ElementarySchool uses the latest K12 Basic Education Curriculum. Each subject is having the own curriculum. For english Grade 1, the curriculum guide contains the materials from grade 1 to grade 10.

EVALUATION
Based on the initial observations found in Grade 1, I observed a learning process where the teacher used lecture and question and answer techniques. The lecture is used to explain the material to be taught more clearly and in detail followed by the question and answer process is done to arouse students’ enthusiasm to answer and to know the extent to which students pay attention while the teacher explains. The teacher also gives awards such as stars to arouse students’ enthusiasm for learning and actively lured into learning. I also observed student teachers who teach in grade 1 when teaching them using a variety of interesting media to better attract students’ attention to learn and use several methods such as talking sticks and various other methods. They also use games in learning about things like revoking names to answer and students are very visible and students do not feel bored and focus on learning as in grade 1 students still like to play and insert games related to learning are good.
During my observations, I saw the teacher using the book as a teaching guide and explaining through writing and observations I also made on the student teacher who taught them a lot of using media such as manila paper to paste some pictures, pictures that were printed to be pasted on the writing pad, a few words separate words to complete, use the mystery box to uproot the student’s name in the game, and use music in learning related to the material as I see there is science learning related to part of the body.
3 Sources of Learning and Technology
References books:

3. Science Links 2017 edition
I also made observations on the evaluation given. Evaluate at the end of the lesson after the lesson has been completed. In the class there is also the most bahavior rating in which the class is divided into 3 groups and the star is given to the group that performs the most behavior, as shown below
During my observations the teacher never gave additional assignments or assignments to do at home, but there was eavluai at the end of the lesson when the material had been explained.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.
Why do this?
The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.
To help you get started, here are a few questions:
You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
